Brent Taylor
Brent Taylor doesn’t like talking about himself in the third person, so I’ll tell you a little bit about my life up until now...
I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I speak English and Afrikaans fluently, so I would be happy to assist The Camera Store's Afrikaans speaking clients in their mother tongue if they'd prefer!
Although I dabbled in photography from a young age, it was in 1995 that I developed a serious interest in photography and purchased my first SLR camera system; a Canon EOS 50 film camera kit. I began self-studying photography and worked as a photographic assistant in the fashion and commercial industry for two years before entering the consumer photographic sector at Fuji Image Center as a printer and sales associate. Later I joined Studio22, which printed for and serviced the professional photographic
industry. While working there, I began shooting products, portraits and weddings on my own.
In 2004, I left to establish Brent Taylor Photography. I switched to digital as my working medium and opened a home studio in Sunset Beach, where I shot portraits and products. On location, I shot corporate work for businesses and restaurants, covered events and captured many memorable weddings.
At the beginning of 2010, my wife and I relocated to Calgary and have started a new life here. So look out for me in store and let's talk photography!
