Jim Slobodian
Jim has had an avid interest in photography since he was young, a hobby that led him to go on to major in Photography, as well as History in University. With varying subjective interests ranging from travel and wildlife to weddings and dramatic low-light scenes, he certainly doesn't limit himself strictly to digital photography to capture his images. Many of his weekends are spent in the darkroom creating an array of beautiful images using different processes such as cyanotypes, liquid emulsion, Polaroid emulsion transferral and texturing his prints using different tools to crop, frame or develop his prints.
Jim enjoys discussing photography and showing something new and exciting in the industry. If you happen to be in the area, stop by the store and ask a question or two.
Jim is an instructor both for SAIT and for The Camera Store. Check out his work on his website where you can view his current workshop schedule, or contact him to arrange personal photography lessons based on your interests.
