A Lighter, Brighter filter allows greater light transmission which improves the camera's autofocusing and metering in low light. It also allows for faster shutter speeds or smaller apertures to control depth of field.

The thin version of the Singh-Ray LB Warm Circular Polarizer features a thinner design to eliminate vignetting on wide angle lenses.
