Japan Photo Contest Open For Submissions!

The Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary is pleased to present that its 7th Japan Photo Contest is now open for submissions! This contest was created to celebrate and promote Japanese culture and the connection between Japan and Canada. Open to three provinces and two territories, with amazing prizes from The Camera Store, Nikon and Japanab, this is a great opportunity to show your love of Japanese culture and photography!

The Japan Photo Contest is open to everyone who resides within Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. There are four categories to enter and each person can submit up to a maximum of four photographs (one per category). Photos taken in either Canada or Japan are welcome but must promote awareness of various aspects of Japan’s culture while continuing to foster the positive relationship between Japan & Canada.

Categories include:

  1. Nature
  2. Architecture
  3. Japanese Culture (Traditional, Food, Festivals, etc)
  4. Movement, Sports & Technology

Submit photos for a chance to win prizes, including the Nikon Canada Grand Prize: Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera, Z 5 24-50 Lens Kit, receive a certificate from the Consul-General and have your photo featured online and in future events and promotions!

The deadline for submission of entries is September 30th, 2021
