Contest Winner: "What's the worst thing you've done to your camera or lens?"

Last week we asked our Twitter and Facebook followers, the question: "What's the worst thing you've done to your camera or lens?" Our favourite entry was from Lori Moss.  She won a $50 gift certificate to The Camera Store and clearly deserves it!

Thank you to everyone who entered amusing stories of the horrible things you have done to your photographic equipment. Stay tuned as we announce the runner-up entries.

Here is Lori's Story:
"3 weeks ago I was photographing a day-after session with a bride and groom on a beautiful Newfoundland beach. As the waves came up around them, I was mid sentence saying "keep looking at each other, not the wave!" when a I was side swiped by a wave that came over my head, picked me up and carried me about 20 feet before putting me back down…my Shootsac full of gear, including my new 70-200 F2.8L IS was ruined with the salt water and so was my 50mm.  HOWEVER! The whole time I was able to keep my shooting arm WITH my camera out of the water! My bride and groom plus onlookers said all they could see was my arm and camera floating down the beach…here's the last photo I was able to fire off before being swept away."
