A Success - 2008 Digital Photo Expo

Thank you to all who attended and participated in The Camera Store’s first Digital Photo Expo! We are delighted to have provided a resource epicenter for Western Canada's photographic community. With an estimated 9000 visitors, volunteers and exhibitors in attendance, the walls were bursting with enthusiasm for Calgary's visual arts.
With the success of the 2008 Digital Photo Expo, we are pleased to announce the 2009 Digital Photo Expo. It will be held October 24-25 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Calgary.
We have already received feedback from several of our supporters. Below are just a few of the comments we received regarding the Expo:
"As for the Expo itself, it was terrific. I learned a lot, I spoke with a bunch of talented and knowledgeable people (including a number of folks in your red T-shirts), and I had a lot of fun. It was a very relaxed atmosphere despite there being so many people present, and it was great to buttonhole manufacturers' reps for detailed discussions about their products. The seminar on motor sports alone was worth the admission fee and I appreciated the quality of the photos Barry Giles took at Race City Motorsports Park because, as I told him, I recognized his vantage point and knew that almost all of them were taken to the west, into the sun. Amazing. I am looking into taking his course at S.A.I.T., and maybe a course on Photoshop, too.”
